Winter pause of RRC 2013/14 season started. Holydays are coming and we are all summarizing past year’s results. Now we have time to look back on 2013/14 Pool phase competition and to analyze scores and statistics.
In the last matches of the season in Belgrade and Zenica some important things happened that affected the top part of the official RRC scorers list. Marko Kapor and Milan Orlović from RK Pobednik MOZZART Belgrade added, respectively, 25 and 12 points to their scorecard. Now Milan is on second place of RRC scorers list with 31 points (5 tries and 3 conversions) and Marko is on the third place with 30 points in total (4 tries and 5 conversions). Milan Orlović is, also, currently top RRC try scorer.
The top spot and the title of Pool phase RRC top scorer belongs to Gregorie Collet from Esztergomi Vitézek Suzuki RSE. His boot accuracy was outstanding this autumn. He gathered 37 points, and all with boot – 2 successful conversions and 11 successful penalty kicks.
Those three athletes, together with Nik Jurišić from HARK Mladost Zagreb (29 points – 7 conversions and 5 penalty kicks), Luka Lerotić from RK Nada Split (25 points – 3 tries and 5 conversions) and Ivan Rešetar also from RK Nada Split (20 points – 4 tries), are main candidates for overall 2013/14 RRC Top scorer title. There are still three matches to come in Play off phase of RRC 2013/14 season and we expect that players of RK Nada Split, HARK Mladost Zagreb, RK Pobednik MOZZART Belgrade and Esztergomi Vitézek Suzuki RSE can do some “major upsets” in 2013/14 RRC Top scorer competition.
In the Pool stage of RRC 2013/14 Season 8 clubs have played 12 rugby matches. During those matches 63 players have scored 573 points what is average of almost 48 points per match. Those 573 points are made of 80 tries (averaging almost 7 tries per match), 46 conversions and 27 penalty kicks as shown in following table.
