Help for flooded regions

Large parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, eastern Croatia and Serbia are underwater… with several cities and villages cut off and thousands still fleeing the flooded zone in boats and trucks. Refugees were being housed in sports halls and schools, and aid centers were set up to distribute medicine, food, blankets and clothing.

It’s time for rugby community to help!

2013/14 RRC Champions – RK Nada Split

Final RRC match in Zagreb

Bad weather prevented the arrival of a large number of spectators, but it did not stop the teams HARK Mladost and RK Nada to play a good match. Both teams started the game with a great desire and determination to take the 2013/14 RRC trophy.

HARK Mladost had a good start of the match and took the early lead in the second minute with penalty kick which was successfully performed by Nik Jurisic. This has further motivated team from Split to quickly take control of the game and in the sixth minute try from Kelez and conversion from Lerotić brings the lead to RK Nada. Utill the end of the first half RK Nada team played remarkably. Lerotić, Grizelj and Rešetar guided the game of Split team very rationally and efficiently. Rešetar in 25th, Miljak in 28th and Lerotić 33rd minute have touched for RK Nada and, with successfull conversions by Lerotić, RK Nada has reached a secure 25 points lead at the end of the first half.

In the second half HARK Mladost tried to increase pressure on the RK Nada defense, but the team from Split has successfully fended off all attacks of the host and, by using errors of team from Zagreb, increased the advantage to 3:36. During the last five minutes of the match, players of HARK Mladost felt the lack of concentration of players from Split and achieved two of tries (Jurišić and Palaversa) and, with one successful conversion from Jurišić, have set the final score or the 2013/14 finals – 15:36.

The match was, despite difficult weather conditions, very well managed by referee Predrag Štiglić from Belgrade.
